Clarice E. Dunton Steinke

Clarice E. Steinke, 85, of Plymouth, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Waterford of Plymouth following an eighteen month battle with cancer.. Clarice was born on August 10, 1931 in Fond du Lac, a daughter to the late Arthur and Esther (March) Dunton. She attended schools in Fond du Lac and Plymouth High School. On a cold winter day, January 14, 1950 she was united in marriage to Marvin Steinke at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2009. Clarice was employed at Gilson/Lawn Boy/Toro. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Clarice is survived by her three children, Mark (Deb) Steinke of Plymouth, Jeff Steinke of St. Nazianz and Kay (Steve) Moths of Angier, NC; three grandchildren, Maggie (Paul) Bowers of Sheboygan, Austin Steinke and Hannah Steinke, both of St. Nazianz; two great grandchildren, Shelby and Max Bowers and a brother, David (Nettie) Burnett of Fond du Lac. In addition to her parents and husband, Marvin, Sr. she was preceded in death by a son, Marvin, Jr. and other brothers and sisters. A funeral service for Clarice will be held 7 PM, Thursday, March 16, at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Casey Sugden, pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services, 123 South Street, Plymouth on Thursday from 4 PM until the time of service at 7 PM. Memorials in Clarices name to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice are preferred. Clarices family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the Aurora Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, the Waterford of Plymouth and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the care and support shown to Clarice and her family.
