Robert A. Stib, 83, of Plymouth, formerly of Random Lake, passed away on Thursday morning, September 14, 2017 at the Atrium Post Acute Care of Plymouth with his family beside him. Robert was born on January 2, 1934 in Random Lake to Thomas and Theresa (Junge) Stib. He grew up in Random Lake and graduated from Random Lake High School. Robert served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954 until 1956 and was stationed in Korea. Robert married Carol Tanck on June 20, 1959 in Fillmore, WI. Robert took great pride in his profession as a finishing carpenter working for Wellinstein and Sons of Milwaukee until his retirement. The Pettit Bradley Center was one project he took great pride in helping complete. His skill as a carpenter led him to helping many of his friends with various projects. Robert was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth, the Cassia Masonic Lodge #167 F. & A.M. and the Tripoli Shriners. He participated in many parades with the Shriners as the Disney character, Pluto. He was an avid Packer fan. Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol; a son, Tim (Amy) Stib of Scottsdale, AZ; a daughter, Tammi (Gregg) Hancock of Midland, MI; five grandchildren, Dr. Matthew (Becca) Stib of Providence, RI, Taylor (Kendall) Stib of Scottsdale, AZ, Erin Hancock (fianc, Nathan Fedorchak) of Arlington, VA, Molly Hancock and Adam Hancock, both of Midland, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and sister-in-law, Hollis and Clarice Stib. A funeral service for Robert will be held 3 PM, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Salem United Church of Christ with Revs. James Hoppert and Dale Miller co-officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Plymouth. Family and friends may gather and visit at the church, 217 Salem Dr., Plymouth on Sunday from 12 Noon until the time of service at 3 PM. A Masonic service will be conducted at 2 PM. Robertss family would like to extend their gratitude and deep appreciation to staff of Atrium Post Acute Care and the Aurora At Home Hospice. Your care and concern will be remembered. Memorials in Roberts name are preferred.
