Rose Samse Obituary

Rose M. Samse, 81, of the town of Sheboygan Falls, passed away at her home on Thursday evening, October 5, 2017 following a lengthy illness. Rose was born on June 19, 1936 in Sheboygan, a daughter to the late Hugo and Valarie (Hunsberg) Kuhn. She graduated from high school and later was united in marriage to Robert Cheney who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Timothy Samse on April 1, 2006. Rose was employed with Sartori Cheese, Farm & Fleet, and Prange Way. Rose was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Greenbush. Rose enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She and Tim spent a lot of their time traveling, with some of their favorite spots being Yellowstone, The Grand Canyon, and North Carolina. She will be missed by those who meant so much to her. Rose is survived by her husband, Timothy; a daughter, Cindy Chouinard of Elkhart Lake; her grandchildren, Michael Schmitz of Elkhart Lake, Samantha Cheney and Phillip (Stacey) Cheney of Sheboygan; her great grandchildren, Zander, Sabrina, and Wyatt; father-in-law, Bill (Judy) Samse of Sheboygan Falls; a brother-in-law, Bill Samse (Brenda) of Sheboygan Falls; and a sister-in-law, Dawn Kolburg of Sheboygan. She is further survived by other family and friends. Along with her parents and first husband she was preceded in death by a son Robert Cheney, Jr. A funeral service for Rose will be held at NOON on Wednesday, October 11 at the New Hope United Methodist Church in Greenbush with Rev. Henry Verfuerth officiating. Burial will follow at Ucker Point Cemetery, Town of Schleswig. Family and friends may gather at the church, W7797 Center St., in Greenbush on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of service at NOON. A memorial fund has been established in Roses name. Roses family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, and to all of the doctors and medical staff that have cared for her over the years.
