Vivian E. Hailer, 100, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls.Vivian was born on August 2, 1917 in the town of Sheboygan Falls, a daughter to the late Otto and Lulu (Deicher) Metzner. She grew up in the Plymouth area and graduated from Plymouth High School. She later attended the Sheboygan Business College. She was united in marriage to Norman L. Hailer and he preceded her in death in 2005. Vivian had worked in the offices at Curt Joa and later in life was employed at H.C. Prange. Vivian enjoyed many activities which included bowling, gardening and a good game of cards, especially sheepshead. She also enjoyed painting especially the art of traditional Norwegian rosemaling.Vivian was a member of the Salem Plank Road U.C.C.Vivian is survived by a grandson, Steven Hailer of Wauwatosa; a great grandson, Gabriel and her former daughter-in-law, Pamela Hailer of Plymouth. Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Hailer.A funeral service for Vivian will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, January 30th at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Dale Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Plank Road U.C.C. Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home, 123 South Street, Plymouth on Tuesday from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM.Memorials in Vivians name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center are appreciated.Vivians family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Pine Haven and those from Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
