Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services, began when George Wittkopp in 1910 opened a funeral home in Plymouth to serve families in the Plymouth community and surrounding area in Sheboygan County. Through the years though traditions and family requests have changed the mission of Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services has not. We maintain the guiding principle of respect and dignity to each family we serve. Though family traditions and desires in memorializing their loved one may have changed our goal has not. We strive to provide to the individual, family and community in their greatest time of need a spiritual, emotional and physical healing.
With the exception of a few years the funeral home has been owned by the Wittkopp family. Each member of the staff at Wittkopp’s has a strong desire to serve the community in the reputation that the Wittkopp family built through the years.
Through the years traditions have changed, family dynamics have changed and evolved, communities have reacted and today’s funeral service is not your “grandfather’s” funeral service.
Funeral service today is no longer a cookie cutter type service. Each family is given the opportunity to tailor the service and memorialization of their loved one to a service that expresses the uniqueness of the individual while meeting the needs of the survivors and community. Each family is given the opportunity to aid in their spiritual, emotional and physical healing through much of their own wishes. As Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services moves into the future we do it with dignity and respect. We ever listen to those we serve and the community around us. To serve the living in their greatest time of need in our time tested tradition of high ideals. That is our mission, our goal and our challenge.
