.James V. Koene of Plymouth, a man with a great sense of humor, passed away unexpectedly of a massive heart attack on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the age of 57.Jim was born on August 5, 1960 in Milwaukee, a son to Jerome and Jean (Deicher) Koene. He grew up in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School. He later attained a Bachelor Degree in Business from Marion College. On June 13, 1981 he was united in marriage to Debra Rutter. He was currently employed by Masters Gallery. Jim was an avid Packers, Brewers and Bucks fan. He enjoyed the game of golf and was lucky to have found the elusive hole-in-one. He also enjoyed fishing, watching movies and a good game of cards. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. As an organ and tissue donor Jim will live on with the many people helped through his donation.Jim is survived by his wife, Debra; his daughter, Rebecca Hellmer (Sara Reed) of Plymouth; his son, Chad (Wendi) Hellmer of Cascade; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his parents, Jerome and Jean Koene of Plymouth; a brother, Tom (Mari) Koene of Green Bay; his sisters, Susan (David) Noordyk and Sharon Koene, both of Plymouth; sisters-in-law, Linda (Gene) Enders of New Holstein and Diane (Don) Walsdorf of Kiel; a brother-in-law, Ken (Penny) Fisher, Jr. of Plymouth and his godfather, Richard Schaap of Sheboygan Falls. Jim is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Lotus Fisher, his maternal grandmother, Florence Deicher, his paternal grandparents, Norma and Herbert Koene and his godmother, Mary Deicher.Visitation for Jim will be held at Wittkopp Funeral Home, 123 South Street, Plymouth on Friday, January 26th from 4-7pm. A service will follow at 7pm officiated by Rev. Richard Cerpich. Memorials in Jims name to the American Heart Association are appreciated.Jims family would like to extend their grateful appreciation to the Orange Cross Ambulance crew and the emergency department of Aurora Medical Center-.Grafton.
