Louis R. Jaeger

.Louis R. Jaeger, 86, of the town of Mitchell, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at his home.Louis was born in Milwaukee on September 5, 1931 a son to the late Walter and Hilda (Gauger) Jaeger. He graduated from Boys Technical High School in Milwaukee. On June 19, 1954 he was united in marriage to Ruth Gray at the First Baptist Church in Waukesha. Louis was an electrician with Milwaukee County Institutions. Louis and Ruth operated Harmony Hills Bed and Breakfast from 1998 until 2014. Louis was very involved in music singing in various barbershop musical groups which included Plymouth HHT, Milwaukee Chorus and the Greendale Chorus. He also served as Scoutmaster with Troop 583 in West Allis. He was also active with Town of Mitchell activitiesLouis was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade where he served as an Elder and sang in the choir.Louis is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth; his daughter, Jodee (John) Plazek of Greenfield; his sons, Eric (Beth Hahn) Jaeger of Muskego, Gary (Andrea) Jaeger and Dean (Bonnie) Jaeger both of Plymouth; nine grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Marian Jaeger of Oshkosh He was preceded in death by a brother and three sistersA memorial service for Louis will be held 3 PM, Saturday, February 10 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade with Rev. Richard Bidinger officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church, 509 Milwaukee Ave., Cascade on Saturday from 1 PM until the time of service at 3 PM.Memorials may be directed to Generations in Plymouth or the Barbershop harmony Society.
