Marlene Knaack Obituary

Marlene C. Knaack, 79, of Elkhart Lake, passed away on Friday morning, October 27, 2017 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center. Marlene was born on March 23, 1938 in Two Rivers, a daughter to the late William and Mary (Petrauski) Kudirko. At a young age she moved with her family to Sheboygan where she attended schools including Central High School. She was united in marriage to John Knaack on February 9, 1985. She had been employed as a sewer at Ross Glove and Lakeland Clothing. In her younger years she enjoyed racquetball and swimming especially at Lake Ellen. Marlene and John enjoyed their weekend getaways at their cabin on Buffalo Lake near Montello. Marlene was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart Lake where she was active in the choir. Marlene is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Theresa (Steve) Trimberger of Plymouth, Bonny Knaack of Gulfport, Florida and Lori Schultz of Mt. Pleasant, her sons, Anthony (Gina) Magruder of Waupaca, William Magruder of LaCrosse and Brian (Cara) Knaack of Collinsville, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Angelina, Raymond, Nicholas, Lorren, Billie, Jr., Christian, Chad, Natasha, Amber and Jessica; her great grandchildren; her sisters, Delores Oldenburg and Marie (Bob) Gruenke, both of Sheboygan and her brothers, Michael (Linda) Kudirko of West Bend, Randy (Nancy) Kudirko of Valders and Steven (Jo Ann)Kudirko of Athelstane. Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive. A funeral service for Marlene will be held 1 PM, Thursday, November 2 at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Peter Peitsch, pastor, officiating. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. Family and friends may visit at the church, 210 Lincoln Street, Elkhart Lake on Thursday from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM. Marlenes family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the exceptional and caring staff at Sharon S. Richard Community Hospice along with Dr. Bettag and his staff. Your kindness will be remembered.
